Terms, Privacy & Returns Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to JDM Spares. By using our website (www.jdm-spares.com) to browse our products and submit enquiries, you agree to the terms outlined in this document. Please read carefully before proceeding.

2. Terms & Conditions of Sale

2.1 The purchaser confirms that he/she has examined and/or inspected parts the before purchased and supplied to him/her.

​2.2 Parts correctly supplied are not returnable. No exceptions.

​2.3 Incorrectly supplied or faulty parts must be returned to supplier within 3 Business days from the date of purchase unless otherwise arranged in writing with management.
 
2.4 There will be no return/exchange or refund on an incorrectly supplied or faulty part if:
        a) Purchaser fails to return the said part within 3 days from the date of purchase.
        b) Purchaser acquires the part elsewhere without making prior arrangements with the                                supplier.
        c) The part has been partially or entirely disassembled, physically altered, installed/ affixed/                     attached/ joined/ added to/ blended or combined with/ or embedded within other goods                       or property; tampered with, modified, stripped, or opened in any way.
 
2.5 a) There is no guarantee or exchange on any electrical items whatsoever.
        b) There is no guarantee or exchange on any rims, tires or shocks purchased. 
 
2.6 Parts will only be exchanged on presentation of the original invoice signed by the purchaser.
 
2.7 Credit notes are valid for 6 months and are not transferable to a third party. Goods will only be          supplied on credit, on presentation of the original credit note. 
 
2.8 No cut sections will be taken back by the supplier. Sections must be paid in full before the                      supplier will begin cutting and marked out by the client with the salesman.
 
2.9 Engines and/or gearboxes guarantees are only valid if the purchaser has signed a written                      gearbox and/or engine guarantee contract form with the supplier.
 
2.10 The supplier is not liable for any courier/ transport/ labour/ engineering or mechanical costs               incurred by the client or their mechanic, or any recurring costs incurred should the part be                   exchanged.
 
2.11 If the supplier agrees to a refund, such will only be made by EFT within 7 working days.
 
2.12 The risk in and to any parts shall pass from supplier to the purchaser on the date of                                   delivery/collection of the parts. The supplier is furthermore not liable for any damages or loss             incurred by courier companies for goods in transit and insurance of such items is at the                           discretion of the client.
 
2.13 A "DEPOSIT" sale is a binding contract between both the supplier and the client. A deposit                   sale is to be paid in full within 30 days unless otherwise stipulated. Should the balance of the               contract not be paid within the prescribed period there will be no refund or credit notes                         issued and the deposit will be forfeited. Should the client wish to cancel the contract within                 the 30 day period, and only if such is agreed by management, the client will be charged a 20%             handling fee of the full purchase price of the contract, and a refund amount less 20% will only             be made once the supplier has resold the part or vehicle.
 
2.14 All Vehicles are sold as deregistered or scrapped unless otherwise stipulated on the front of               the invoice by the seller and signed by both parties.

2.15 No liability whatsoever shall arise furthermore on the part of the supplier from any                                   representation(s) made or alleged to have been made at any time in respect of parts supplied             by the supplier and its representatives to the purchaser.

2.16 A 20% handling fee will be charged on the invoice amount for a returned part that needs to                 be refunded.

2.17 Mediation: In the event of any dispute concerning any goods/ services/ guarantee, it is                           expressly agreed that the parties will attempt to resolve the dispute by mediation at the                         suppliers Business premises before the customer may resort legal action. The customer is                   obliged to report any such dispute to the supplier by written notice within 7 days from the                   date of supply of goods/ services.

2.2 Shipping & Delivery​

  • We offer nationwide shipping via third-party couriers.

  • Delivery times vary but generally take 3-7 business days.

  • JDM Spares is not liable for delays due to courier services.

  • Customers must inspect deliveries upon arrival and report any damage within 24 hours.

2.3 Warranty & Liability​

​

  • Used parts are sold as-is unless specified otherwise.

  • New parts may come with a manufacturer’s warranty.

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation or misuse.

  • JDM Spares does not take responsibility for goods that are damaged by the courier during transit. Customers must file claims directly with the courier service.

4. Returns & Refunds Policy

4.1 Return Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 7 days of purchase for unused items in original packaging.

  • Electrical and electronic components cannot be returned.

4.2 Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days via EFT payment method.

  • Shipping costs for returns are the customer’s responsibility.

4.3 Warranty Claims

  • If a new part has a defect, a replacement or refund may be issued depending on manufacturer policies.

  • Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims and Refunds.
